Privacy Policy
The short version: Emoji Taps does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from anyone — children or grown-ups. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and no accounts. The app works entirely on your device.
Who we are
Emoji Taps is made by Marigold Apps LLC ("we", "us"), a New York limited liability company. You can reach us any time at support@emojitaps.com. Our mailing address is at the bottom of this page.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect any personal information, and we have built the app so that there is nothing for us to collect.
Specifically, Emoji Taps does not:
- ask for a name, email address, birthday, phone number, or any other personal detail;
- create accounts or require any kind of sign-in;
- use advertising of any kind, including ads for our own products;
- include analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or any third-party software development kits;
- track your activity, build a profile, or use cookies or similar technologies;
- access the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, or health data;
- contain links, buttons, or other ways to leave the app for a website or another app.
Information stored on your device
The app remembers a few settings so it behaves the way you left it — things like speech speed, chosen language, and play mode. These are saved only in the app's own storage on your device. We never see them, they are never uploaded anywhere, and deleting the app removes them.
How the spoken words work
When your child taps an emoji, the app speaks its name using the speech feature built into Apple's operating system. Nothing is recorded, and no audio, text, or tap data leaves the device.
Children's privacy
Emoji Taps is designed for young children, and we take that seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from anyone else — because the app collects no personal information at all. This means there is no personal information about a child for a parent to review, correct, or ask us to delete, and no data is ever disclosed to third parties.
The app is built to meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category guidelines. Options meant for grown-ups sit behind a parent gate.
Purchases
If Emoji Taps is offered as a paid app, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregated sales figures, such as how many copies sold in a given country. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
This website
emojitaps.com is a small set of static pages. It has no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no embedded third-party content, and no contact forms. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify visitors, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal information, because we do not have any.
Your rights
Privacy laws in places such as California and the European Union give people the right to access, correct, or delete personal information a company holds about them. Since we hold no personal information about you or your child, there is nothing for us to look up or erase. You are welcome to write to us with any question about this, and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store. We encourage you to check this page when you update the app.
